2024

Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies Recipient

Team b. Strategy + ranked No. 3479 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.  Inc. Media’s prestigious Inc. 5000 list, produced every year since 1982, analyzes company data to recognize the fastest growing privately held businesses in the United States. Inc. 5000 companies are ranked according to percentage of revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2020.

2024

Department of Energy Names Team b. Strategy + Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year
FY 2023

The Department of Energy (DOE) continues to grow its engagement with small businesses to further the Department’s missions and works to meet its Small Business Administration (SBA)-established goals in four socioeconomic categories: Small Disadvantaged, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), and Woman-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs). DOE’s Annual Small Business Awards Program recognizes the outstanding performance of people and organizations that promote and expand the Department’s use of small businesses. The awards are presented to small businesses, program elements, SBPMs, contracting officers, and Federal Management Contractors (FMCs).  

 

In June 2024, Team b. Strategy + received the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year Award at the DOE Small Business Forum and Expo. This was Team b.’s second year receiving the nomination for the award category, and its first year winning.  

2024

Financial Times Recognizes Team b. Strategy + as one of the Americas' Fastest-Growing Companies
for 2024

The Americas' Fastest Growing Companies 2024 ranking identifies companies with the strongest revenue growth between the years 2019 and 2022.  The four-step vetting  process included an application to confirm the company met certain criteria, research to confirm revenue data, evaluation to calculate growth rate and revenue figures, and ranking for the top 500 companies that met the criteria.  

 

Financial Times recognized Team b. Strategy + among the top 500 fastest growing companies in the Americas’. The Americas' Fastest Growing Companies 2024 title serves to reinforce Team b.’s standing as a company that contributes most heavily to economic growth and is performing exceptionally well across the Americas. 

2024

Team b. Strategy + Founder & CEO Receives Emerging Star Award at the National Business Federal Contracting Summit 

The U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce Women Contractor Awards honor the growth and achievements of women-owned contractors and lays the foundation for greater success and opportunity for the future by recognizing women-owned firms for their outstanding success as suppliers in the federal contracting arena. The Emerging Star award is for contractors who have received their first prime government contract award within the last two years and are on their way for future opportunities.  

Brittany Westling, founder and CEO of Team b. Strategy +, received the Emerging Star award at the National Small Business Federal Contracting Summit (NSBFCS) in March 2024. The Summit featured education and information on current trends, technical training, regulatory updates, engagement with representatives on the hill, and access to federal agencies and prime contractors.

2023

Team b. Strategy + Wins two Stevie® Awards at the 20th annual Stevie Awards for Women
in Business

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. More than 1,600 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on six juries.   

 
Team b. Strategy + founder and CEO Brittany Westling attended the awards gala in New York City to accept the Gold award for Company of the Year – Consumer Services (More than 10 Employees), and the Bronze award for Women-Run Workplace of the Year  (More than 10 Employees).

Women We Admire Names Brittany Westling a Top Woman Leader
for 2023

Women We Admire is a membership organization comprised of over 1,500 of the most accomplished women leaders in business, finance, healthcare, and other fields such as law, consulting, education, non-profit, among others.   

 

In September 2023, Brittany Westling, President and CEO of Team b. Strategy +, was named a Top Woman Leader for 2023 by Women We Admire. Westling is part of a group of honorees selected for their exceptional leadership. Women We Admire calls this year’s list of leaders “a particularly remarkable group of pioneering women.” The awardees are “exceptional individuals” who have “showcased remarkable innovation, tenacity, and resolve across a spectrum of traditionally male-dominated domains. Through their forward-thinking guidance, they have set new standards of leadership, driven transformative endeavors, and nurtured inclusive professional atmospheres.”

Secretary of Energy Honor Achievement Award for work on the Joint Development Environment
(JODE) Team

The Secretary of Energy Achievement Award is bestowed upon a group or team of DOE employees or contractors who together accomplished significant achievements on behalf of the Department. These groups should demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in attaining their goals. This award is typically awarded to one to five (or more at the Secretary’s discretion) groups/teams each year.  Each individual member of the team or group will receive a certificate suitable for framing signed by the Secretary of Energy.

Presented by the Secretary of Energy, this award was given in recognition of the US/UK Joint Development Environment (JODE) Team for their extraordinary dedication in developing and implementing the international communications project that accelerates collaboration between the United States and the United Kingdom under the Mutual Defense Agreement. Their efforts led to a significant reduction in costs associated with diplomatic courier services and travel requirements for in-person meetings and enabled the US and UK to work together in a way that was never before possible. These accomplishments have made a major contribution to the US/UK partnership and ultimately advance nuclear deterrent capabilities in the long term.

2018

Secretary of Energy Honor Achievement Award for work on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Denuclearization Team 

The Secretary of Energy Achievement Award is bestowed upon a group or team of DOE employees or contractors who together accomplished significant achievements on behalf of the Department. These groups should demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in attaining their goals. This award is typically awarded to one to five (or more at the Secretary’s discretion) groups/teams each year.  Each individual member of the team or group will receive a certificate suitable for framing signed by the Secretary of Energy.

In recognition of the outstanding contributions of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Denuclearization Team that has planned for the final, fully verified denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. The team’s efforts played a major role in preparing for the historic U.S. DPRK Summit in Singapore, as well as the follow-on Summit in Hanoi, Vietnam. Furthermore the team’s tremendous cooperation, ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and requirements, and dedication to the mission at hand, have ensured that the United States is expertly prepared to undertake a major effort to directly improve the security of the United States and the entire international community. For their contributions to the Department of Energy and the Nation, the DPRK Team is awarded the Secretary of Energy’s Achievement Award.
